JOURNAL

Day 14: Fudge made a new fuel cell and is going to test drive on his lawn mower by converting it from a petrol to a hydrogen fuel supply and then changing back if successful or not.

It worked XD

JOURNAL

Day 13: Fudge and his dad blew up the used fuel cell for fun and made a bang!! upon exposure to flame the gas ignited and created a fireball the size of a soccerball and a pop that could be heard a fair bit away.

JOURNAL

Day 11 & 12: We made a fuel cell that works perfectly!!!!

JOURNAL

DAY 9 & 10: We are working on plans for our hydrogen fuel cell and are going to look over some youtube vids on this and read up on it.

JOURNAL

Day 7 & 8: Todays session put a MAJOR speedbump in our project, we have to run our engine on hydrgen, if done right it will be energy efficient and healthy foir the environment, if it is unstable, one of us will be fried beyond recognition. oh well, we are going to give it a go anyway.

JOURNAL

Day 5 & 6: We can go to an auction for our car in 2 weeks or we can get an old 1998 toyota corolla thats done 80000k's, runs perfectly and is still in one piece. We still need to work out the kinks on some things.

JOURNAL

Day 3 & 4:No progress, still working on first stages.

JOURNAL

Day 2: Today we had a problem. because we are building a kart of sorts its not just an engine we need, we need a whole driveline (engine, clutch, gearbox, diff etc.) but this hasn't put us off. We might be looking for a secondhand car now, soon the perfect thing will pop up.

JOURNAL ENTRIES OF PROGRESS

Day 1: Today was the first day of our project. We had a big brainstorm to decide what we were going to build. Originally we were just going to get an engine to experiment with eg. Turbo, NOS etc. but we deemed it to be too dangerous. We the decided to build a race car based on an Ariel Atoms frame. We "called in" some favours (Fudges dad) and he agreed to help us out. he made some phone calls and began tracking us down a free, reliable, running engine. We are pleased with our progress so far. We began to surf the net for aftermarket and second hand turbos and parts.

Mini Race Car Project

The Perfect Model: The Nissan Skyline R35 GTR

352kW of power, thoroughbred racing heritage and the ability to reach 100km/h in just 3.5 seconds, it's easy to see why The Nissan GT-R is the dream of every red-blooded supercar enthusiast.

But the problem is, we cant have it, so we are getting a carby engine, giving a turbo and puting it on a frame, so in no time we'll be flying.

I, Terminator am in this Project with a nerdy friend, Fudge and we will post journals for feed back and thoughts from our peers and supervisors.
